Getting your address book contacts from other mail service providers like yahoo, hotmail, Ms Outlook or any other service providers into your gmail is very easy. Just follow this simple steps to export your contacts to google mail.

1. Export your contacts from your address book as a .csv file. Normally most of the mail providers provide downloads in the .csv format.

2. Once the contacts are downloaded into a .csv format, open your Gmail account and click on contacts.

3. On the top portion of contact page – you will find an Import Link. Click on the import Link.

4. Browse to the location of your CSV file and click on import to get it uploaded into gmail contacts.

Its Done! Gmail will display the contacts after it is updated.

Note : Do not try to import more than 3000 contacts at a time. If there is more than 3000 contacts to upload, create multiple CSV files.
