The HTC Sync application that comes with the HTC Hero will help in the synchronization of contact and calendar information from your Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express and Windows Address Book. Installing the HTC Sync software is very easy – run the exe and follow the on-screen instructions:

After the installation, the application will create an icon in the system tray.

Take your HTC hero phone, Go to settings -> Applications -> Development and enable USB debugging option and then connect the Hero to your Computer through the USB cable. Windows will detect the new hardware automatically and install the required software.

An installation wizard will be launched and follow the steps below to install it.

• Insert any name to identify HTC hero.
• Set the device time and PC time. They should be always same.
• A new interface opens up.
• Click on the Sync Manager and select the Settings button:
• Select the application you want to synchronize HTC phone with:
• Select the information you want to synchronize with HTC:
• Specify whether sync is automatic or manual.
